About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Nursery Manager to lead a vibrant and supportive early years setting in Macclesfield. The successful candidate will be a natural leader with excellent organisational skills, a deep understanding of early years education, and a genuine commitment to high standards of care, safeguarding, and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education

  • Lead and inspire a team of practitioners, supporting their development and performance

  • Ensure full compliance with all safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements

  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, staff, and external agencies

  • Monitor and support the implementation of the EYFS across the setting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with policies and procedures

  • Support the nurserys continuous improvement and development

  • Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to and consistently implemented

  • Actively contribute to staff recruitment, training, and retention

Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (UK recognised)

  • Minimum of two years' senior leadership experience within an early years setting

  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding practices

  • Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths, or willingness to achieve this within two years

  • A clear, enhanced DBS check and commitment to ongoing safeguarding training
