Our Art Department are excited to announce that we are looking for a team member to join them as a Art Technician.

The Role:
Term Time Only - 38 weeks - 37 hours per week
Art & Design includes Fine Art, Fashion & Textiles, Graphics, Printmaking, Photography – the Art department also services part time accredited adult provision.
Working as a member of a vocational team, you will undertake, duties in support of the work of the teaching staff in the Art and Design department and deliver efficient technical support to the department to a consistently high standard, oversee all preparation, maintenance, storage, set up and clearing away of all materials and equipment used in lessons.
Main Duties for this role:
- To accurately issue prepared equipment to students and ensure its return.
- To ensure studios are set up before the start of all sessions and tidied at the end.
- To be able to plan and work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- To maintain and replenish stock, place orders and check deliveries.
- To maintain the department. This includes cleaning and tidying daily, putting film processing chemicals away daily, painting and decorating when required.
- To assist lecturers when appropriate by assisting with supervision of students.
