A Sales Support Engineer
This role focuses on proposal generation, bid submission, costing, and technical support, utilizing local technology centers for product knowledge and demonstrations. Developing a high level of technology expertise should be the first priority, followed by in depth knowledge of customer applications.
Main Duties
Review the information provided by our Sales teams within different Group companies, Provide feedback on outstanding information requirements.
Develop a technically sound and commercially viable solution utlising feedback from the application/technical managers.
Prepare the cost estimate, and collate any information relevant to the enquiry within the proposal folder.
Interface with our customers (or colleagues), to understand their technical needs, provide technical support
Ensure the accurate proposal will be submitted and negotiated, and support when required presenting to customers.
Conduct product demonstrations and training, utilizing local technology centers
Participate to our sales reporting (with our CRM), providing feedback loop on won and lost opportunities.
Be active in our continuous improvement projects.
Candidate Profile
Background and/or experience in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in Mechanical Design, or in Quotation, Pre-Sales, technical sales support
A relevant area experience of capital equipment would be appreciated: Food & Beverage, O&G, Pharmaceuticals
Ability to use 3D drawing packages and PLM Software, but also CRM systems
Solution-driven and customer-oriented sensibility
Strong ability to both self-lead and work effectively within a team.
