Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operator / FLT Operative to join our client's expanding team in Macclesfield.

Our client is a global pharmaceutical company driven by science to transform health care and patient outcomes, while playing a purpose-led role in wider society.

This is a temporary role, working full time Monday to Friday, 2pm until 10pm - paid weekly at 11.25 per hour.

Working as a Warehouse Operator / FLT Operative you will be working as a valuable member of the team to effectively collect, process, sort and generally manage the customers waste in accordance with the company guidelines.

Your key duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Ensure routine collection and disposal of waste from around site
• Safe use of forklift, pallet rider, van and other mobile plant
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe storage of all waste
• Assist in the segregation, packaging and labelling of wastes
• Assist in the removal from site of all waste materials thereby reducing stock build up
• Assist in monitoring the safety of operations
• Ensure all team member's compliance with operating instructions and requirements
• Complete daily vehicle and equipment check sheets as required
• Routine liaison with manager or supervisor on operational and safety aspects of work
• Contribute to the behavioural safety and near miss reporting requirements
• Signing of duty of care and hazardous waste consignment notes
• Support all other team members in their roles when necessary
• Provide operational support across various sites within the Hertfordshire Essex area as required

To be successful within this position, you will a valid forklift license, with proven experience operating a FLT within a busy warehouse environment. Combined with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team; have good communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
