Two of Macclesfield's Subway stores have been selected to be part of the company's phased reopening in which around 600 stores have reopened across the UK with new rules in place.
The sandwich-making giant has two stores close to the town centre, one in the town centre on Mill Street and one at Hope Park on Cumberland Street which, which Nub News reported last week.

Organisers announced the decision on the Macclesfield Pride Facebook page on Monday.

In a post on Facebook, organisers of the festival said: "It is with heavy hearts that we have been forced to postpone Macclesfield Festival 2020. The safety of our customers is paramount and as such the decision was one which was made for us.

The nation should wear face masks in enclosed spaces where social distancing isn't possible, the Government has said as it published its 'road map' which could include people being able to link up with one other household in a "bubble".
