More exciting news for the girls and boys in Macclesfield !

As a club, we have been totally overwhelmed at the amazing response to our Academy initiative and amazed at the take up …. As such we have decided to try to create another fantastic football opportunity for Macclesfield's young players (that are in Reception and Year 1) …… thus giving players even more football before they are given the opportunity to play Under 7s football - be it for Tytherington Juniors or one of the other fab local teams.

We are proud to be working with the amazing Goal Coaching to present "Tytherington Juniors' 3v3 Mini Football" which will be held each/every Saturday at 12.30 (until 13.30) on the great little grass pitch on Sandwich Drive in Tytherington. The 3v3 mini football will directly follow on from either our U7s or U8s playing a home game in the Mid-Cheshire Youth Football League on Sandwich Drive.

There is also a fantastic small community artisan market on Tytherington Family Worship Church's car park on a Saturday from 10am until 2pm with fab local traders; MASA Bakery Yas Bean Nia's Vegan Delights

We believe that small sided games such as 3v3 play a huge role in developing players technically, tactically and giving players a great fun way to learn. Rather than the traditional larger sided format at a young age we believe that players in a 3v3 small sided game will benefit from having taken more touches of the ball, attempted more passes, tried more dribbles, had more attempts at tackling and scored more goals – thus, hopefully really helping a young players development! Thus, ultimately and MOST IMPORTANTLY – only adding to the amazing fun had by our young players at Tytherington Juniors' mini football!

The format is really taking off and was thought of following the popularity of a similar project ran in Congleton by Congleton Town FC / Goal Coaching - there is also a fantastic league in Manchester called 3v3 uk Manchester that even hosts great national and local football tournaments - proudly we have a few teams taking part in their first event taking place following lockdown!

Absolutely any/all players are more than welcome - you don't need to be part of Tytherington Juniors (& no pressure to become part) .... we are just so keen for all players to enjoy, play and HAVE FUN!

The cost for the weekly session is £3, which is payable on the day. The sessions are subject to Club, DCMS and FA COVID guidance being adhered too (which will be shared with parents).
