Little Imaginations is a vibrant early years camp, catering to children aged 3 to 6 years old. Our camp specialises in fostering creativity and exploration through a diverse range of activities including dance, drama, singing, treasure hunts, sports, crafting, Montessori play, and story time. Operating during every holiday period our camps are meticulously planned and prepared to ensure a memorable experience for both campers and staff.

We are currently looking for an onsite camp manager to join our growing team and our new site in Macclesfield.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Camp Manager to oversee the daily operations and ensure the smooth running of our early years camp. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum Level 3 qualification or a relevant QTS qualification in early years or childhood education, along with previous managerial experience. They will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of organisation, safety, and child welfare while fostering positive relationships with both parents and clients. The manager is also responsible for supporting the leader and assistant to complete their duties.

Location: Macclesfield, Beech Hall Dates: Start Dates Easter Holidays (7th April for 1 - 2 weeks, TBC) Times: 9am - 5pm Further Dates: You must have a strong interest in working further holiday dates throughout the year. We don't expect you to want to work every holiday throughout the year, but an interest in a long term management of the venue is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the early years camp, ensuring all activities are conducted in line with our Little Imaginations framework and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children, adhering to safeguarding procedures and implementing first aid protocols when necessary.
  • Supervise and support camp staff, guiding as needed to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and programming.
  • Have a hands-on approach to support camp staff, including the supervision of children during activities and break times.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for parents and clients during core hours, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Assume overall responsibility for the welfare and safety of all children attending the camp, with a proactive approach to risk management and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with the organiser to evaluate camp performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to optimise the camper experience.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in early years or childhood education or relevant QTS.
  • Previous experience in a managerial role, preferably within an early years or educational setting.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to effectively plan and coordinate camp activities and resources.
  • Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its principles.
  • Valid safeguarding and first aid certifications.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS check.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with parents, clients, and staff members.
  • Availability to work during holiday periods on a self-employed basis, with a commitment to being present for all the proposed dates
  • A passion for working with young children and a dedication to creating a positive and inclusive camp environment.

Employment Details:

  • Self-employed position with a weekly payment of £850
  • You will be expected to be on site between the hours of 8:30 am to 5:15 pm each day
  • Camps operate during every holiday period, we are looking for someone that would ideally like to return for further dates.
