Our Hair & Beauty department are excited to announce that we are looking for a team member to join the department as a Senior Hair & Beauty Technician

The Role
Working as a member of the Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy team, you will provide effective technical support for staff and students within the Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy Department, ensuring that the provision operates to a consistently high standard.
Main Duties for this role include
To line manage Technicians
To issue equipment to students and ensure its return.
To maintain the salons to a high level of cleanliness including sterilization and hygiene.
To prepare demonstration resources for all the provision within the hair and beauty department.
To assist with enrolment and induction.
To ensure stock levels are maintained, place orders and check deliveries.
To maintain laundry facilities and to supervise students when undertaking laundry duties and dispensary duties.
To assist with reception duties, contribute to promotions to increase clientele, retail sales and commercial income.
To assist lecturers when appropriate with the supervision of students.
To have a good knowledge and awareness of Health and Safety within the sector, to maintain salon equipment to ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and be competent in conducting workplace risk assessments.
To be able to plan and work on own initiative and as part of a team.
To undertake all aspects of the post in accordance with the College's Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Equity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety policies and schemes.
