Design Manager

Location: UK-Macclesfield

I am recruiting for a Design Manager in Macclesfield who has a background in Architectural or MEP Design, along with knowledge of NEC Contracts. Experience in life sciences is for a fit-out and remodelling project. Salary based on experience and suitability.

Opportunity for a Design Manager for Macclesfield to join the Life Science team. The Design Manager will report to the project team, where you will fully understand and manage the design requirements of the tender/project, and provide assistance and guidance to design coordinators as appropriate. This framework for small works ranging £300k - £4m. This role is an on-site position for the DM, working alongside the Sisk framework team and the client framework team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage design consultants and sub consultants along with design subcontractors to ensure correct and timely delivery of all design related information for the execution of the works on site
• Manage design coordinators and act as a mentor to them for the projects they are involved in
• Input into the Employer's Requirement/Contractor Proposal Compatibility
• Manage and assist the Design Co-ordinator during the construction phase
• Chair and minute Design meetings and ensure production of information in line with the design
• Qualifications:
• Degree in construction related discipline
• Minimum six years' construction industry experience
