With summer approaching and with progression of the government's roadmap out of lockdown - holidays are a possibility for Macclesfield residents.
Here's Macclesfield Travel Expert Richard Slater's predictions for what The Government "green list" may look like for departures from 17 May 2021.
𝙍𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙'𝙨 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨
It's likely that there will be around 20 to 30 countries/regions from the outset, and as I mentioned in March, the first of those to hit the green list may include;
The Algarve, Madeira & The Azores
Some Caribbean Islands
Some Greek Islands
& Potentially The Canaries
The list will be based on vaccination and infection rates locally.
The Government have said that they will confirm the list by the 1st May. This should also clarify the testing regime too.

Richard, who is MD of Henbury Travel said, "Whilst we appreciate not everyone is ready to travel just yet, we have seen a phenomenal level of bookings for 2022.
"Around 46% of bookings coming from new clients, who previously booked online or DIY [did it themselves]."
