The workshop will educate parents and carers of vulnerable people about ways to protect themselves and their loved ones after they are gone.

A Macclesfield willwriter has joined forces with a beloved charity once again, to help advise the community.

Tytherington willwriter Joseph Etherington, of Moneybox Wills and Trusts, is bringing back the free 'One Eye on the Future' workshops with Space4Autism.

A curated workshop to help plan for the future for youngsters and their families affected by Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), is set for this summer.

The workshop will be held at Space4Autism, on Wednesday June 12.

Places have to be pre-booked and are open to Space4Autism members. Please enquire about booking a place via [email protected].

"I want to get to places that are helping people in the community," said Joe.

The Tytherington will writing firm has previously held this event at Space4Autism twice, and is back to do it again a third time this June.

"I'm incredibly grateful to charities such as like Space4Autism for introducing me to the communities that they support and opening my eyes to the challenges that they face," he added.

"Families caring for those with ASC clearly don't have the time to be researching their legal options, so it has been great to be able to meet so many and share the tools they need to ensure their loved ones are protected for the long term.

Booking is required for the June workshop, as spaces are limited to 12, so please email [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected].

"And I look forward to work with Space4Autism again this June, as we continue our new joint mission to ensure those with ASC have futures that are safe, enjoyable and legally protected."

Looking after young people living with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) is an incredible, intense and all-encompassing experience. So much so, that while parents and carers rightly focus on their loved one's day-to-day needs, they often overlook or simply don't have time to consider planning for when they pass away.

It's a sensitive subject and one none of us relish tackling, but careful estate planning for those with ASC is vital to ensure they continue to receive the right level of support, after the death of a primary carer.

"An estimated 60 per cent of adults in the UK don't have a will, leaving their money, property and possessions hugely exposed," revealed Joe.

Joe works from an office at First Floor, Sycamore House, Tytherington Business Park, Suite 4, Macclesfield SK10 2XA, so is delighted for the opportunity to get back out into the community for the upcoming workshop. (Image - Macclesfield Nub News)

"I'm on a mission to raise that number and educate parents as to how empowering and reassuring it can be to get a will in place and protect those you love for the long term.

"It's not a lengthy process and once it's done you can focus on enjoying time with your family safe in the knowledge that when change comes, the needs of your family will be met.

"Resuming the workshops with Space4Autism plays a pivotal part of this mission, two years ago I hosted a series of workshops with Space4Autism in Macclesfield to share my expertise in Wills and Trusts with families of those who have ASC. And I am delighted to bring the workshop back on June 12.

"The workshops were designed bring to light the options available to safeguard legacies intended for a child classed as 'vulnerable' or 'disabled'."

Moneybox had previously found of the families who attended the 2022 workshops had no idea how their passing would affect the vulnerable family members they leave behind.

"A bonus when organising a Trust in advance of a death or any sudden illness, is the peace of mind it provides to parents and carers," told Joe.

"It is a huge relief to ASC families to know their loved ones have a future that has been thoroughly planned, with their long-term care and finances defined and protected.

"My team at Moneybox Wills & Trusts are always keen to talk to new families about how we can support them.
