Macclesfield: Lord of the Pies begins hiring drive following crowdfunding success

Beloved Macclesfield pastry experts Lord of the Pies are hiring, after they met their crowdfunding goal to help expand their business.

Last month, the kind-hearted people of Macclesfield donated over £19,000 to secure the future of the business, as their owner Oliver Doyle fights for his life battling a series of tumours.

The company hopes to now repair the damage caused by COVID at their Macclesfield home, open more sites and expand the business into wholesale.

This will ensure the future of the business for Oliver's family, and keep the jobs of the current staff.

To achieve all three, the will also need to hire new staff.

The award-winning pie hub offer eat in or takeaway pies, and their which is open six days a week from 10:30am to 3pm are now hiring more staff.

Five vacancies have been announced by the expanding Macclesfield company.

"We're hiring and recruiting in both full-time and part-time Kitchen Assistant roles based at our Macclesfield town centre kitchen.

"Based at our shop on Chestergate, we are hiring three more roles.

"The first is a part-time Assistant Manager, on daytimes Friday to Tuesday.

"The second is a part-time Dark Kitchen Chef on Saturday to Monday for the evenings.

"The final role at our Chestergate store is a full-time Service Chef from Tuesday to Saturday all-day."

Experience is preferred for all Macclesfield jobs, and should be included on a CV.

Salary can be discussed at an interview.

The jobs are all immediate starts, and you can pop into their shop at 19 Chestergate to ask for a trial shift and discuss with the role with their lovely staff.

In addition to delicious meat, veggie and vegan pies, the much-loved business are stockists of Macclesfield produce.

The eatery serves Forest Gin and The Bollington Brewing Company at their Chestergate premises.

The company was founded in 2010 and has over 10,000 followers across social media, including Facebook and Instagram.
