A Macclesfield Indian takeaway has been nominated for a national award for the third year running.

Achaari Takeaway in Hurdsfield were nominated for an English Curry Award at the first-time of asking in 2021.

They won Takeaway of the Year in 2021. They were nominated in the same category in 2022 but did not win.

However, they will hope to reclaim the crown this time, as they have been nominated for Takeaway of the Year in the North West category once more.

The Macclesfield family business are in competition with nine other takeaways, none of which are from the Cheshire area.

The 12th English curry awards will take place on August 14 at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre.
