A Macclesfield church will host an event in association with Macclesfield for Palestine next week.

St. Michael's Church of Market Place, will host a ticketed event on Friday March 15, at 7pm.

It will feature Dr Mona El-Farra, Director of Gaza Projects with Middle East Children's Alliance doing a talk.

Macclesfield For Palestine told Macclesfield Nub News: "Dr Mona and her son were in Gaza when the bombing started. Many members of her family have been killed."

Do you wish to attend? Please email [email protected]

"She is now with family in Manchester. Dr Mona is a physician by training and a human rights and women's rights activist by practice in the occupied Gaza Strip.

"She was born in Khan Younis, Gaza and has dedicated herself to developing community based programs that aim to improve health quality and link health services with cultural and recreation services all over the Gaza Strip.

"The Middle East Children's Alliance is a nonprofit organization working for the rights and the well-being of children in the Middle East. We'll be raising money for them at this event.

"We will also be serving food and showing a short film about Palestinian life.

"Tickets cost £10 (some concessions available) obtainable by emailing [email protected].

"Please book your ticket soon so we know how much food to cook! And tell your friends and family about the event and encourage them to book tickets too."
