A Macclesfield gym is giving back to 'superhero' teachers with free gym passes over the summer holidays.

Local health club Anytime Fitness Macclesfield will be supporting the health of local teachers and school staff this summer by providing free seven-day gym passes for use throughout the school break.

The independently owned health club, located at 16-20 Duke Street, is giving back to schoolteachers who have worked tirelessly in challenging circumstances throughout the pandemic, providing extended free access to their facilities.

The seven-day pass will give teachers the chance to have a free wellbeing appointment with one of Anytime Fitness Macclesfield's expert coaches, as well as access to the club to enjoy multiple workouts during their much-deserved time off.

"After the year they've had, we wanted to give back where we can to our community's amazing teachers," said Beth Harcourt, General Manager at Anytime Fitness Macclesfield.

"Throughout the pandemic, they've been like superheroes and admirably put everyone else before themselves.

"During this time, we imagine they've struggled to find the time to prioritise their own health and while they enjoy their time off during the summer holidays, we hope to be able to give a helping hand.

"Our friendly team will be available to discuss their current wellbeing and future health goals, as well as giving them a tour of the club.

"We hope these free passes will help give teachers a chance to enjoy their downtime this summer and an opportunity to try something new."

Both Macclesfield primary and secondary school teachers can take part in the offer.

Since reopening in April, the Macclesfield gym's members have been racking up the workouts in their thousands as they resumed their healthy routines.

The club has also welcomed hundreds of new members through their doors as the community looks to invest in their health as restrictions ease.

Teachers can claim their free seven-day pass by visiting this webpage and selecting Anytime Fitness Macclesfield as their local club.
