Emotions are high over the festive period, and the January Blues affect pretty much all of us in some way.

So why not get together and indulge in one of the most feelgood human emotions: laughter.

RedWillow's first comedy night of 2024 is on this Friday.

Allyson June Smith, Mike Newall and honoary Maxonian MC Jonathan Mayor will provide an evening of funnies, doors from 7pm and starting at 8:30pm.

Dog School

Many Macclesfield residents will have received puppies over Christmas.

And if your new doggie needs training, a paw-fect event is taking place this weekend.

A Puppy Infant School will take place in Bollington on Saturday.

Wedding Fair

Another gift Maxonians may have in common over the festive period is getting engaged.

If you have recently got engaged or are planning a wedding, you may wish to go to a local wedding fair, and explore supporting local businesses for your special day.

A wedding fair is on at Shrigley Hall this Saturday.

11am to 3pm.

Wellness Day

Also at Shrigley Hall, but the day before, is this restorative day to help us to hit the ground running for the new year.

Rebirth is an in-person transformational wellness day, set amid the beautiful scenery of Shrigley Hall.

According to the organisers, it is "an event created to allow you to step confidently into your power and your greatness in 2024. To be beautifully reborn."
