Find your nearest polling station for the Broken Cross and Upton Ward by-election to Macclesfield Town Council

Here is all the polling station details you'll need to know for the Macclesfield Town Council by-election.

The election will take place on Thursday April 7, with the hours of polling being from 7am to 10pm.

By midnight on Friday April 8, voters will have elected a new Macc Town councillor for the Broken Cross and Upton ward.

There are six polling stations that are open for the 15 hour period.

Macclesfield Broken Cross and Upton is Macclesfield's most westerly ward.

It is important to note that electors can only vote at their allotted polling station, as shown on their polling card.

And the polling stations open to Macclesfield Broken Cross and Upton residents are as follows:

  1. Broken Cross Club, Fallibroome Road, Macclesfield
  2. Macclesfield Cricket Club, Victoria Road, Macclesfield
  3. Broken Cross Club, Fallibroome Road, Macclesfield
  4. Broken Cross Methodist Church, Chelford Road, Macclesfield
  5. Upton Priory School, Berwick Close, Macclesfield
  6. Broken Cross Methodist Church, Chelford Road, Macclesfield

Three candidates are standing to contest the vacant seat in the Broken Cross and Upton ward, on Macclesfield Town Council. Phoebe Buxton is standing for the Green Party. Gareth Jones is standing for the Conservative Party. Ruth Thompson is standing for the Labour Party.

The elected candidate will serve the Broken Cross and Upton Ward alongside Labour's Chris Wilcock. Macclesfield Town Council is made up of 12 Councillors, who represent the seven wards of Macclesfield.
