A well-known folk rocker is coming to a music venue near Macclesfield next week.

2000s chart topper, Newton Faulkner is playing in Gawsworth on the 18th of July at 7:30pm.

He is returning to Gawsworth Hall for the first time since his last concert there in 2019.

The performance will take place on a large festival stage in front of the hall with an uncovered seating area.

Mr Faulkner's work has consisted of genres of music such as rock, pop, folk, soul and many more in his glittering 15-year career.

His most streamed song is Dream catch me' with over 71,000,000 streams on Spotify.

The soft rock single was released on bis debut album Hand Built by Robots.

His second album Rebuilt By Humans was released in 2009, and featured a laidback acoustic sound. The album's name was inspired by an injury to his right wrist, that doctors helped put back together.

In his career, Newton has released over eight albums, 36 singles and has also appeared at Glastonbury.

His newest album came out in 2021, and was recorded in lockdown.
