No 10 Eco-friendly Macclesfield delivery company will now collect your single use plastic

A fast-expanding delivery company which aims to fight the climate crisis introduced a new service in August.

ELOV, championed by Russ Hope, introduced soft and single use plastic collection, for which he will take to a waste recycler in Macclesfield for a small fee.

His fleet of electric bikes are better for the environment than cars or trucks.

No 9 Macclesfield coffee business to celebrate their one year anniversary

With words by Macclesfield Nub News work experience pupil Annalise Tims, we visited this Buxton Road coffee shop for a look back and forwards on the first-year anniversary of their coffee shop.

Yas Bean are based on 219 Buxton Road.

They also cater for specific dietary requirements.

No 8 Macclesfield: New bar Urban Vixen aims to open this September

One you can expect another article about in Macclesfield Nub News next month, Nub News was the first media outlet to reveal the opening of this new Mill Street Bar.

They hope to have drag-themed events as well as cocktails at affordable prices.

The independent bar is the second premises of a Gloucestershire business.

Forest Distillery are a worldwide-renowned gin and whisky brand on your doorstep.

No 5 Meet the Macclesfield t-shirt company combatting climate change

The first of two stories on Roe Street in this list, we took a trip to profile Inland Sea, a sustainable clothing company in Macclesfield.

With our town being so closely tied to fabric, it was quite poetic to tell the story of a Macclesfield business hoping to put Macclesfield on the map for that once more.

Inland Sea make t-shirts out of seaweed, and contain more natural products than most clothes you can buy on the high street.

A Tytherington has found fame online with a heartwarming Instagram page.

18 month year old puppy Loki bear has gained sponsorship, and an unusual hobby through the account.

Proof that everyone loves pizza, this popular piece of a rural Italian opening in Macclesfield was one of our most read stories in August.

Sutton Slice extends the opening hours of the cafe Sutton and Co.

They even have a dessert pizza options.

No 2 Cinemac: Independent cinema Manager reacts to Cineworld bankruptcy 

The latest-released story on the list, we took a trip to Cinemac on the second-to-last Monday of the month.

Their manager responded to the news that British cinema chain Cineworld went bust, and revealed how they are surviving the streaming age.

The Roe Street venue will celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2025.

No 1 KFC are now hiring in Macclesfield - all but confirming their opening 

In what was perhaps the worst kept secret, or longest-running rumour, KFC silently confirmed they are coming to Macclesfield through a series of job listings online.

They will create 40 jobs for Macclesfield.
