Signed memorabilia of footballer George Best and musician Sir Cliff Richard are among the big items going under the hammer to raise money for local charities.

The Mayor of Macclesfield's charity auction will take place on Thursday, with proceedings starting at 6pm.

The Macclesfield auction will raise money for charities Macclesfield Roundtable and The Windyway Trust.

It will take place at Macclesfield Auctioneers Adam Partridge, at their Saleroom on Withyfold Drive, SK10 2BD.

Business across Macclesfield and beyond have donated items, which will be auctioned off in the hopes of raising thousands.

The first lot will include an expensive teal Kingfisher Jimmy Choo purse.

Designer accessory brands Kotur and Yves Saint Laurent will also have products for sale to raise money for Macclesfield good causes.*

Macclesfield companies with donated lots include One House Afternoon Teas tea-for-two voucher, and a Gallon of ale from Brook Street pub The Wharf.

LBD Fitness and Bollington Health and Leisure have donated personal trainer and gym memberships respectively.

Hogbens Chartered Surveyors have donated a Sky Ninja drone worth £395, and a voucher for a drone view of your home estimated to go for almost £500.

There's also a week-long holiday for six people in a lush cottage in Conwy, North Wales.

There's also a Liverpool FC photograph with an estimate lower than £100. The Anfield print is signed by Alisson Becker, Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson, Jurgen Klopp, Dejan Lovren, Adam Lallana, Sadio Mané, Divock Origi, Mo Salah, Xherdan Shaqiri, and Daniel Sturridge.
