Elsewhere, Costa Coffee opened their fourth branch in Macclesfield, with a drive thru store opening at Lyme Green Retail Park.
July

Macclesfield's 'smallest shop' opened in July in the form of Silktown Soap Company.
Teaching assistant Julie Dawn Brocklehurst started the company in 2021, during her scheduled time off as a key worker.
Meanwhile, Chestergate welcomed yet another independent business, Lobby.
The bright blue gift and homeware shop stocks everything from jewellery and candles to cushions and prints.
There was also a new addition at the indoor market, with Makers at the Market arriving to provide a space to showcase the work of up to 28 local creatives.
August

The Grosvenor Centre saw not one but too exciting additions in August.
Suzy Prince and Ian Lowey traded Levenshulme for Macclesfield as they opened The Quiet Cat Bookshop following the success of their store, Bopcap Books, in Greater Manchester.
Meanwhile, the indoor market welcomed Joshua Hayward-Dean and his business, The Hodgepodge Wizard.
The stall stocks a wide range of board games, trading cards, miniatures and dice, including big names such as Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons and Citadel.
September

A busy month for openings included the arrival of Caprinos, one of the UK's fastest-growing pizza chains.
Just down the road, car fanatic Rick James Sherry opened his own dealership, RJS Car Sales.
Meanwhile, Space4Autism opened their first charity shop on Chestergate on Treacle Market Sunday.
Looking a little outside of Macclesfield, Cheshire's first free roam VR gaming arena, Havoc VR, opened at Adlington Business Park.
October

Another month packed full of openings started with the launch of Pause Creative Studio at Dukes Court.
Moving away from Dukes Court was zero-waste clothing store Z in the Attic, which found a permanent home on Chestergate.
One business that piqued a lot of interest was AJ's Bargains, described as a combination of B&M and a traditional car boot.
Over in Bollington, the unit previously home to TAPA reopened as Coupe.
November

Speaking of Bollington, in November Clarence Mill welcomed Fitness in Mind, a 'new kind of gym'.
In Macclesfield, Medo Cafe quietly opened right in the heart of Mill Street.
Meanwhile, Macclesfield Market Hall saw the arrival of Lady of Loops.
Former property lawyer Daniela Clave took up crochet after being forced to step away from her career due to developing long COVID and chronic fatigue syndrome.
December

While not technically a new business, December did see the return of a much-loved venue, The Swan With Two Necks on Chestergate.
Just across the road, the Charles Roe Pub opened its doors for the first time on December 19.
Meanwhile, Pane, the first of four new units at the Stay Lusso food court, began serving customers in December.
Then, just days before Christmas, Turkish Grill opened on Queen Victoria Street.
What's to come in 2026

As you can see, it has been a great year for new businesses in Macclesfield, with a wide variety of shops and eateries opening their doors.
And there is no sign of things slowing down in 2026.
January looks set to be an incredibly exciting month for the town with the arrival of Saffron Mall, the Deadly Dozen Institute of Fitness Racing and BoyleSports, to name but a few.
